A Few Things People Ask Me
1. What is the difference between headshots and personal branding portraits?
Headshots are simple, professional images focused on your face and shoulders for use in formal settings like LinkedIn or company profiles. Personal Branding Portraits are a broader collection of images that showcase your personality, story, and brand through varied settings, poses, and outfits for use across websites, social media, and marketing materials
2. Where is your studio located?
I don’t operate from a fixed studio. Instead, I offer the convenience of coming to your office, home, or preferred location.
3. How long does an individual headshot session take?
Most people aren’t used to being photographed, so I keep my sessions realistic in length — to help clients stay fresh and look their best. Individual headshots take between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the package. For company headshots, allow approximately 15 to 20 minutes per person. Personal branding portrait sessions run from 1 to 2 hours
4. What camera and lighting gear is used?
I use professional Sony camera systems and Profoto lighting—often referred to as the “Rolls Royce” of lighting gear. Editing and retouching are done on Apple computers using Adobe software, and I always shoot in RAW to ensure the highest image quality.
5. How are your photos retouched?
The goal of re-touching is to improve the overall look of a headshot or portrait. Therefore, providing the image with a polished and professional look. Moreover, this process involves techniques, like removing spots, smoothing skin, brightening eyes, and whitening teeth. In addition, I always ensure that your images remain natural and real throughout the retouching process.
