Authentica is a new curated directory inside Headshots Matter for photographers who create natural, honest dating profile photography. It’s for people who want images that feel human—comfortable, confident, and true to who they are—without heavy filters or “AI-looking” perfection.

Built on the same values as Headshots Matter, Authentica is rooted in care, professionalism, inclusivity, and respect for every person we photograph.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for photographers whose work—and approach—align with our HSM brand principles:
A calm, people-first portrait style
Experience helping clients who feel awkward or uncomfortable on camera
Natural, restrained editing (no heavy filters or artificial skin)
Comfort creating relaxed, lifestyle-influenced photography (outdoors, on location, or in lived-in environments; studio is fine too)
An inclusive, body-positive, respectful approach to all clients
Clear communication and thoughtful client care
Follower counts don’t matter here. Fit, consistency, and intention do.
Membership Fees
Authentica is a dedicated, curated membership and directory within the Headshots Matter ecosystem—created specifically for photographers who offer natural, honest dating profile photography.
Authentica Membership (USD, recurring):
$225 per year, or
$25 per month
Headshots Matter Member Discount:
Active HSM members (Associate or Creative) receive 20% off Authentica membership. Need your code? Just reach out—we’re happy to help.
Note: Authentica membership is separate from Headshots Matter membership. It reflects the added review, curation, and directory positioning specific to dating profile photography.
City Coverage and Curation
Authentica is intentionally curated to keep the directory clear and helpful for clients.
Small and mid-sized cities typically feature one photographer per city
Large global cities may include 2–3 curated photographers to offer stylistic or regional choice
Selection is based on fit—not speed of application
If your city is already represented, we’ll keep your application on file as the directory grows.
What We’ll Ask You to Submit
To keep the review process clear and fair, we ask applicants to complete a short form that includes:
Studio and contact information (city + region)
Links to your website and social presence
A few short questions about your approach and client experience
Up to 5 images that represent dating-profile-appropriate work
By uploading images to be considered, you’re confirming that you have permission to share them publicly
If we feel that we’re a fit, then we’ll email you the next steps, including a payment link and our membership agreement.
